Really beautiful article. The waitress piece really stuck with me and I agree that we can finding meaning through balanced engagement. All the legs of the table are properly supported.

It is interesting because in my life, I am focused on my passion/ purpose projects 200%, and one may think you have meaning from that, but I realize you begin to feel like the lost souls in the Disney movie "soul" - those artists who allow their work to consume them. It is two sides of the same coin, one who feels like they have no purpose and engages only in the mundane and the other who is consumed by purpose. It's all about balance.

Thanks for bringing this center stage in my awareness today.
